Student of the Month and  Best Effort Awards




This is a team effort among the teacher, student and parent. The student should
be proud of their achievement, the teacher should be excited and enthusiastic,
and have a sense of satisfaction for giving the award and the parent should feel
that they are doing something right. Nominations will be based on a criteria Each
winner will receive an award certificate and a surprise. Their name will also be
showcased by the Main Office and on this website. Don't be surprised if their
names also appear in a local newspaper.
In June the students who receive the most awards will be invited to a special
luncheon with the teachers. Mr. J Laniado is in charge of this program and we
thank him for all his hard work.

lower that 80%.  These grades will be based on the third quarter report cards in
ARISTA is determined by:        7th grade final grade
8th grade 3rd quarter

2.        SERVICE - Students must document 30 hours of school or community
service during the school year.

3.        CHARACTER - Student must have a satisfactory or better rating in
character (courtesy, responsibility, and self-control), and may not have any
unsatisfactory rating on the report card.

4.        CITIZENSHIP - Candidates must obtain three (3) letters of
recommendation from teachers.


HONOR ROLL

SILVER HONOR ROLL
Students must have an 85% in all major subjects, satisfactory in conduct and
character, and passing grades (65% or better) in all other subjects. Students
must receive a satisfactory rating in the area of behavior.

GOLD HONOR ROLL
Students must have a 90% in all major subjects, satisfactory in conduct and
character, and passing grades (65% or better) in all other subjects. Students
must receive a satisfactory rating in the area of behavior.


STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Each month, classroom teachers are asked to nominate a student in each
subject class they teach.  At a team meeting the nominees will be discussed and
one student selected by the team for each class.  A special award will be
prepared for these students.
